I Did Something

I worked out today.
Short.
Micro short.
Miniscule.
But huge for me.

I did something.

Do Something.

Do something.
        Anything.
Just do something.

Let's look at things today.

I started this blog July 18, 2010.
1,193 days ago.
3.27 years ago.

Oh, I came back again, after 6 months.
And again, 6 months after that. (I even stayed a week that time.)
And came back yet again, 4 months later.
And now, almost 2 years later, here I am...again.

And early on, I started a list.  43 things.
Based on the site, 43 things.com, because I couldn't be more creative.
I actually accomplished some of those things.
But not many.
Let's look at how it looked when I last visited, 2 years ago.

43 Things

  1. New job 7/19/10
  2. Lose 10 pounds 7/19/10
  3. Develop and stick to cleaning schedule
  4. Clean out cupboards
  5. Defrost freezer
  6. Clean basement
  7. Wallpaper downstairs bathroom
  8. Decorate basement walls
  9. Touch up paint in stairwell/masterbath/hall
  10. Weed front of house
  11. Lose 10 pounds in 2011
  12. Lose 20 pounds in 2011
  13. Lose 25 pounds in 2011
  14. Lose 30 pounds in 2011
  15. Lose 40 pounds in 2011
  16. Lose 50 pounds in 2011
  17. Lose 60 pounds in 2011
  18. Lose 70 pounds in 2011
  19. Lose 75 pounds in 2011

So it looks like I did 4 things of the 19 that i listed.  For 2011.
Now, since then, what have I done off this list?
#4 - Clean out cupboards. yay me!
#5 - Defrost freezer.  yay me once, yay husband once!
#6 Clean basement - partial credit, I got the finished parts cleaned, and started working on the unfinished/storage part.(When I started this, it was unusable.  It's now usable, but the unfinished/storage part is a mess!)
#9 - Touch up paint.  Partial credit again.  I figured out the color and purchased the paint, tested out touching up part of the hall and part of the master bath.
#10 - Weed front of house - done!  a couple of times, actually.!

So I guess I did do some of my goals.
I also did a lot of other things.  Some good, some not so good.
I undid #11 and #12.
Then I redid #11.

So I need to redo that list.
Badly.

Maybe that's the first SOMETHING that I will do!
And I already know a couple of things that will go on that list...like keeping myself accountable here.

4 Month Plan

A new record -- 4 months instead of 6 months!

Reinspired....let's see if it sticks this time!

Let's Make That a Dozen!

12 pounds down!
Coming off a weekend, too!

Weekends are harder because I'm at home, around the kitchen all the time, with snacking a constant temptation.
It helps that we don't have too much to snack on that I like, though!

Here's to having a great week!

The 6 Month Plan

Apparently, that's what I'm on -- the 6 month plan.
Every 6 months, I renew my commitment, come back here and post, and then disappear!

Well, I've been committed for about a week, so here I am!
I had a number in my head recently.  I told myself if I hit that number, I would make a serious change.

Not a problem, if I was on an upward trend.
However, apparently my body's "happy number", is 6 pounds below my "magic number".
And I'd fluctuate around my happy number at times, but always rest at it.

So then I ended up on steroids to treat recurring sinus and ear infections once and for all.  Not sure how that worked out, but the side effects was a lot of water retention.
Well, that, coupled with wearing jeans on the scale got me to my "magic number".

So here we go again.
I'm currently 2 pounds below my "happy number", trending downward still.
I have a huge goal.....but for now, maybe I should just focus on a closer goal.
Jury's still out on what will work for me...but at least I'm trying something again!
